What is a Supervised Contact Visit?
Supervised contact visits are services designed to enable a safe transfer of children from one parent to another and guarantee incident-free visits when separated parents are experiencing high levels of conflict or there are concerns about violence.
Supervised contact is the situation where the non-resident parent ( the parent with whom the child/children doesn’t live, visits their child/children under supervision. It is the responsibility of the contact supervisor to ensure the child/children best interests are protected during the visiting time. The contact visit supervision may be court ordered or by parent agreement.
What happens during a Supervised Contact Visit?
A qualified Contact visit Supervisor from Family Konnect’s team will observe the interaction between a child and the supervised parent to ensure the visit is conducted in an appropriate location and under safe and stress-free conditions.
Family Konnect will provide a range of suitable toys and activities for children and parents to use to guarantee a happy experience for both.
All conversations and physical interactions are observed and documented in an impartial contact report which is suitable for court filing and provides a timely account of the visit and include interactions between the child and parent and other attendees.
Where does the Supervised Contact Visit take place?
The location of the contact visit is determined by the needs of the child and their family and is subject to court orders, casework, safety, and WHS issues, as well as negotiations between parents.
I used Family Konnect services over the last 2.5 years.
At Family Konnect both parents and children are encouraged to engage and interact in meaningful ways. My clients' feedback is that they experience a service that is as smooth and pleasant. Supervisors are qualified and very efficient they use their skills to minimise distress to the child and to optimise the safety of all concerned. Detailed reports are delivered on time.

Why Supervised Contact Visits with Family Konnect?
Contact visits are an opportunity for parents to demonstrate their relationship and parenting skills.
The safety and well-being of the children is our primary focus but we also want to facilitate a safe and meaningful interaction between parents and the child.
With that goal in mind, we offer spaces pleasant spaces that are conducive to positive interaction and relationship building.
As such, the children’s main carer can feel confident about the child’s safety without having to communicate or have contact with a person with whom they are in conflict or by whom they might be frightened or intimidated.
Similarly, the non-residential parent can be sure that their contact with the children won’t be interrupted regardless of any personal or interpersonal problems with the main carer.
