Family Konnect supports DCJ and NGOs by offering impartial and professional assessments of potential foster carers and kinship carers.

Our goal is to assess the competency of foster carer applicant(s) as part of the community services foster care authorisation and review processes.
Family Konnect will perform the assessment in collaboration with the community services representative or an NGO’s representative.
Our assessment services includes, but is not limited to:

  • Undertaking visits to the applicant’s home
  • Interviewing all household members
  • Preparing the home inspection and assessment reports and
  • Explaining the code of conduct for authorised carers to the applicant
